What to expect
The Uffizi Gallery is an imposing museum with hundreds of extremely important artworks, which risks confusing visitors, especially when visiting with kids. However there is a right way of doing this, and educating future generations to the appreciation of art from an early age is wonderful! We firmly believe in this and we visit museums with our own children too. For this reason we have developed an itinerary that allows both adults and children to enjoy all these wonders.
Passionate storytelling is not enough for kids to understand art. That’s why we have created a kit of exclusive games, which transform the time spent in front of each artwork into an experience that stimulates the senses and builds meaningful memories.
Don’t worry! This child-friendly guided tour will also lead you into the heart of the Uffizi Gallery where you will be able to admire and understand the extraordinary artistic and creative drive that distinguished Florence between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. We have selected the artworks of the great masters who changed the face of art: Giotto’s Majesty, the Birth of Venus by Botticelli, the Doni Tondo by Michelangelo or the Annunciation by Leonardo and many more.
The building housing the museum is an architectural masterpiece in itself: Giorgio Vasari was commissioned by the Medici to construct the Uffizi for the city’s and Grand Duchy’s administrative offices. The architect created for his Grand Duke a ‘U’ shaped scenic space, a gallery offering spectacular views, from multiple sides, over the Arno, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria.
Today the museum is the city’s most important art gallery and one of the most visited in Italy and in the world. You cannot miss out on the chance of visiting it!
